University of Alabama (UA) Welcomes RSNF Sailors

Intensive English Language & Culture Training Begins Down South

Owings Mills MD, January 8, 2016: Fazko Education, under a pioneering program for English Language instruction with the Royal Saudi Navy Forces (RSNF), has just placed their second cohort of students in an American university; the University of Alabama located in the American deep south. A total of 27 students arrived in Tuscaloosa, Alabama this week to begin language and culture studies at the Capstone International Center’s English Language Institute (ELI). The unique partnership between the RSNF, Fazko Education and the US Navy provides enlisted student sailors from the RSNF an opportunity to learn English prior to their acceptance into follow-on training with the United States Navy in Pensacola FL.

The UA English Language Institute, established in 1982, offers a year-round, 6-level Intensive English Program for students from around the world. Professional standards of the highest quality are extremely important to the ELI, whose Intensive English Program is accredited by CEA (Commission on English Language Program Accreditation) and which is a member of UCIEP (University & College Intensive English Programs) and EnglishUSA. The University of Alabama’s enrollment reached over 37,000 students in the fall of 2016 and has been ranked among the top 50 public universities in the United States by US News & World Report’s annual college ranking.
